Inclusive learning is about ensuring all your learners have the opportunity to be involved and included in the learning process. It’s also about treating all learners equally and fairly, without directly or indirectly excluding anyone. It helps you, the tutor, with fulfilling the lesson requirements if you can ascertain in advance any special learning requirements or needs your learners have during the time they are in your class. This may, for example, be access for a wheelchair, being aware if someone is dyslexic, if someone has particular religious beliefs which must be catered for or whether someone needs to take medicine at a certain time. Then, when aware of any special needs, ensuring that these needs are met in a caring and professional manner.
D) Ways to engage and motivate learners (ref. 2.3)
A learners’ reason for wanting to learn something new can affect their motivation. A learner who is self-funded and wants to learn for personal or job progression reasons is likely to be more highly motivated than some who been “told” to attend, sent against their will or who is not interested in the subject.
Regardless of an individuals’ motivation, members of the group have a right to learn in an inclusive learning environment that is not marred by un or de-motivated learners.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a nationally recognised qualification for teaching in post-16 education (i.e. adult education). It gives teachers, or those wishing to teach in the adult, post compulsory sector, a recognised, good quality award. Getting this award shows that you have the required skills to deliver training and carry out assessment during that training. You can then progress to a level 4 qualification or a level 5 qualification as you gain experience and expertise - finishing with a full QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) qualification if required.
It has been developed in conjunction with Ofqual and City and Guilds, making it the latest and most up to date qualification in the education and training field.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualification is not suitable for those wishing to teach in the compulsory education area i.e. those wishing to teach in primary and or secondary schools. If you want to get into teaching children have a look at the Level 5 DET course.
The skills needed for teaching in primary and secondary schools differ considerably from those required to teach in the adult education world.
Course Entry Requirements.
The great news is there are no formal entry requirements for this training course, but candidates must have a qualification or experience in the subject they wish to teach. This could range from a formal qualification to experience gained in the workplace or as a volunteer.
After you have gained the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, the next step is to gain the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) qualification,
Both these qualifications will give you a better chance in the job market and can lead you to the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) and Qualified Teacher status (QTLS).
